Oh Australia, what won't you watch on TV?
Multi-touch screen.  Coolest way to make music since the MidiGun.
The first actually transforming robot?

I remember a couple people asking how to hide their entire journal.  Here you go.

So a month ago, sometime after I last posted, I saw the 1966 Batman movie.  It is the best movie ever.  Period.  It's so deliciously campy that a fun time was had by all who watched it.

I'll give you a hint about the upcoming Firefox 2 alphas.  There's a new tabbed browsing that pissed me off for a few days.  Each tab now has an individual close button, which means if you reach up to where the old tab close button use to be, and you have a bunch of tabs open, suddenly you're closing a completely different tab than you meant.  I'm past that now, however, and I've gotten used to the per-tab buttons, so it's not insurmountable.

The biggest news, however?  I had my 15 minute French oral presentation, in which I talked about the Algerian fight for independence from France, answered questions and shot the breeze by talking about Australia for 5 minutes.  All in completely spontaneous French.  Fun.

Even bigger news is that I finally ordered my turntables tonight, for $450 (including mixer and headphones).  I've got speakers to attach them to, and I'm pumped.  I should be getting it all on Friday if all goes well.

Oh hell.  I have to get up for band in 4 and a bit hours.  And I'm still not done with my Psychology culminating activity.

Oh yeah, I had something like a mini anxiety attack yesterday morning in Psychology.  More on that when I'm not falling asleep at the keyboard.

except with less haaaaaa and more staring at the blank piece of paper in front of me for 40 minutes without moving.  No thrashing around or sobbing for me, no sirree!

Is this a good or bad thing? )

You know those days when you go to school expecting the academic equivalent of a nuclear strike? Yeah, I had one of those. You know those days when it turns out it was only a fire drill and everything's ok? Yeah, I had one of those.

I fell asleep at the keyboard last night around 10:30 in the middle of doing research for my first IB French oral (4-5 minutes of spontaneous conversation on a topic). That means I didn't finish the other french homework, the chemistry electronegativity questions, study for the chemistry quiz (test on friday), or do any of the more long range things I was supposed to either! I woke up at 2am, blearily copied and printed out some more french research, tried in vain to do the french work and the chemistry questions and went to bed. Today, I expected to completely blow the oral practice (lolz) but it turned out that my memory's actually pretty good at 2am! The french homework wasn't due today, the chemistry quiz was a cinch and the questions will be taken up tomorrow, and ballroom dancing at lunch didn't happen so I spent that time in the radio room chatting instead of doing said chem questions.

Ah, wonderful mistress life, how well you treat the unfortunate.

September 11th completely passed me by and I never noticed. Does that make me a bad person?

His rough, callused hands lovingly stroked her tender flesh.

Uh oh.

Hey, remember that high-speed internet we were supposed to have working a week and a half ago? Guess what - it's not. Start tech support is stumped, and they've upped the priority on our Bell Sympatico trouble ticket. That means that Bell might get around to checking our telephone line at some point in the future. Or it may not. For now, I have to live with a 33.6 dialup connection with a nervous disconnection finger.

I'm now the advertising man for Radio Club, and that rocks. Video editing and working on commercials may not seem similar, but they share one thing: they're fiddly. I love it.

Current school schedule is still messed up. I'm on the waiting list for psychology in first period, I have a spare currently until I get in, but if I'm not in by Friday then I keep the spare and don't graduate for another year, because I'm missing one lousy credit. At least I have a locker to dump "World Masterpieces" in, which weighs in somewhere between a bulldozer and a coal train.
